One of the documents of the Saqeefah movement, which has been used to reject definitive texts on the timeless caliphate of Amir al-Mu'minin, peace be upon him, is the news that prophethood and succession are not combined in one family. This matter has been narrated with different words and different quotations, such as: La tejtma'a al-nabuwawa wa al-khilafah fi Ahl al-Bayt al-Abbadah. The idea of not combining caliphate with prophethood in a family sometimes led to some companions, and in some cases they attributed it to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and in some cases it was attributed to the hatred of Quraysh. In this article, using the acceptable sources of the parties of the document and the documented evidence of the non-union of the caliphate with prophethood in one family, the main origin of these quotes - which is the prevalence of sectarianism - is explained.
