One of the important discussions in general imamate is the requirements of the imam, including the attribute of "knowledge." This attribute holds a special place due to its connection with the infallibility of the imam and its role in distinguishing the true imam from false claimants. The extent of this attribute has been a subject of disagreement among theological sects and even among prominent figures within the Imamiyah faith regarding the necessity of certain levels of knowledge, such as knowledge of languages, crafts, and industries, in imamate. In this paper, using a descriptive-analytical method and employing rational arguments such as divine grace, priority, and wisdom, as well as textual evidence from verses like the Verse of Purification and numerous narrations, we demonstrate the necessity of knowledge of languages for the imam in relation to his role as an imam and divine proof</strong><strong>.  </strong> «امامت» از اصول مذهب امامیه است و مباحث آن از حیث اثبات کبریات و تبیین صغریات، به امامت عامه و خاصه تقسیم می‌شود. یکی از بحث‌های مهم در امامت عامه، بحث از بایستگی‌های امام از جمله صفت «علم» است. این صفت از جهت ارتباط با عصمت امام و دخالت در شناخت امامِ حق از مدعیان دروغین، جایگاه ویژه‌‌‌ای دارد و گسترۀ آن در بین مذاهب کلامی و حتی بین بزرگان مذهب امامیه از حیث شرطیتِ بعضی از مراتب آن، مانند علم به لغات و حِرَف و صنایع، در امامت، مورد اختلاف واقع شده است. در این نوشتار‌ با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و استفاده از ادلۀ عقلی، مانند لطف‌ و اولویت و حکمت الهی و دلایل نقلی از آیات، مانند آیۀ تطهیر و روایات متعدد، تحت عناوین گوناگون که در بعضی از آن‌ها علت علم به لغات، امام و حجت خدا بودن بیان شده، لزوم علم به لغات برای امام از جهت امامت و حجت الهی بودن به اثبات رسیده است. https://jep.emamat.ir/article_213713_465ee48bbeb301fdc18d0b50b0a0a01c.pdf
